Do I have to use all the images in a Feature?

No. Once the Feature is licensed, it may be used in any way you like. This means that some or all images can be used, with or without the accompanying text. Using only a part of the Feature does not affect the price of the licence.

Can I use only the images and not the text?

Yes. Once the Feature is licensed, it may be used in any way you like. This means that some or all images can be used, with or without the accompanying text.

Will the Features also be available as single images?

Not all individual Feature images are large enough to comply with the high technical standard of StockFood’s single images. Therefore some images will be available as singles, but others won’t.

Can I use only the text/copy and not the images?

Yes. Once the Feature is licensed, it may be used in any way you like. This means that some or all of the text can be used, with or without the accompanying images.

Can I just copy and paste the text or do I need to edit it?

It’s up to you. All Feature text can be used without changes. You are also welcome to edit some or part of the text so that it fits with your publication’s style.

How does editing text or using only some of the imagery affect pricing?

Editing or using only a part of the Feature does not affect the price of the licence.

Can StockFood also provide additional text?

Yes. Further details such as specific length, delivery times and cost aspects should be discussed with StockFood on an individual basis.

Am I allowed to modify Features in general?

Definitely. Even though Features can be used without modification, you are allowed to alter them to fit into your own style and layout. It is suggested that you adapt Features to make them fit your style guides.

How long does it take to receive Features?

Generally no longer than a few hours (within German working hours).

What file size are feature images provided?

All Feature images can be provided in the original file size as shown in the pdf. In most cases StockFood is able to provide larger file sizes.

Can clients use the images in another file size than that shown in the pdf?

All images can be used smaller than shown in the pdf. Larger usages are possible depending on whether StockFood is able to provide larger file sizes.

Can I see the text before I decide to purchase the feature?

No. The text of a Feature is an integral part of its value. With this in mind, StockFood does not publish the text as this would jeopardise the exclusivity of the Feature.

When I order a Feature, what will I actually receive?

A feature always consists of individual JPEGs in high resolution, plus the text as word document, as well as a PDF with the page layout. All this will be packed into a single zip file easily available to download.

Will this feature be exclusive to me? If so, for how long and which territories?

All Features are licensed with exclusivity to a particular country. The duration of this is negotiable.

May I use the Feature over and over again?

Certainly, as long as each usage is paid for. StockFood Features are a rights-managed product. You do not acquire flat rights and may only use the Feature as permitted within the license granted.

Can I have high res file access to features?

All Features are licensed with exclusivity. In order to protect our Features clients, Features are not accessible for “high res” download. Please contact a member of the StockFood team in order to access a Feature.

Not all Feature texts are in English. How quickly can I get a translation and how much does that cost?

If you decide to license a Feature with non-English text, StockFood can to arrange the text to be translated. The timeframe for translation depends upon the language.

Will StockFood produce digital Features for new media such as iPads?
